Evaluate Value of Three-Dimensional Ultrasound Quantitative Parameters NWI and GSM in Qualitative of Carotid Plaques
Objective To analyze the evaluate value of three-dimensional ultrasound quantitative parameters normalized wall index(NWI)and gray scale median(GSM)in qualitative of carotid plaques. Methods The medical records of 108 patients who underwent carotid plaque ultrasound examination in Zhengzhou People's Hospital from June 2019 to November 2022 were collected retrospectively.According to the pathological examination results, they were divided into stable plaque group(51 cases)and vulnerable plaque group(64 cases). All patients underwent three-dimensional ultrasound quantitative detection of plaques and carotid endarterectomy. The influencing factors of vulnerable plaque were compared. The value of three-dimensional ultrasound quantitative parameters NWI and GSM in evaluating the nature of carotid plaques was analyzed. Results The volume, thickness, maximum stenosis rate and GSM of vulnerable plaques were lower than those of stable plaques, and NWI was higher than stable plaques(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that the quantitative parameters NWI and GSM of three-dimensional ultrasound vascular plaques were important influencing factors for vulnerable plaques(P<0.05).Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis found that the area under the curve and specificity of NWI for evaluating vulnerable carotid plaques were higher than those of GSM,and the sensitivity of GSM for evaluating vulnerable carotid plaques was higher than that of NWI(P<0.05).Conclusion Three-dimensional ultrasound vquantitative parameters NWI and GSM are helpful for qualitative analysis of plaques and assessment of vascular load involved in plaques.
