Application of PBL Combined with Scenario Simulation Teaching Method in Neurosurgery Clinical Nursing Teaching
Objective To explore the application effect of problem-based learning(PBL)combined with scenario simulation teaching method in clinical nursing teaching practice of neurosurgery.Methods From July 2022 to February 2023,224 nursing students who practiced in neurosurgery wards of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were cluster sampled,112 nursing students who received PBL combined with scenario simulation teaching method were enrolled from the one and second wards of neurosurgery as observation group,112 nursing students who received traditional teaching methods enrolled from the third and five wards of neurosurgery as control group.The two groups of nursing students were assessed in theory,skills and ability test after entering the department and before leaving the department,the assessment results were statistically analyzed.Results After teaching,the scores of theory,clinical skills,self-study ability,positive attitude of communication skills and critical thinking ability,satisfaction with teachers of observation group were higher than control group,the score of negative attitude of communication skills of observation group was lower than control group,and the difference were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with the traditional clinical nursing teaching method,PBL combined with scenario simulation teaching method is beneficial to cultivate the learning interest of nursing students,improve the level of theoretical learning and operation skills,improve their autonomous learning ability,communication skills and critical thinking ability,and improve the teaching quality.
