Effect of Comprehensive Management Under TeamSTEPPS in Comprehensive Management of Digestive Endoscopy Room
Objective To explore the effect of comprehensive management under team strategies & tools to enhance performance& patient safety(TeamSTEPPS)in comprehensive management of digestive endoscopy room.Methods A total of 118 patients with intestinal polyps admitted to digestive endoscopy room of the Third People's Hospital of Henan Province from June 2021 to February 2022 were selected as the control group,and were given routine management.And 126 patients admitted Third People's Hospital of Henan Province from March to September 2022 were selected as the study group,and were given comprehensive management under TeamSTEPPS.The nursing risk scores,the incidence of adverse nursing events,nursing quality scores and patient satisfaction with nursing work were compared between the two groups before and after management.Results After management,nursing risk scores of the two groups increased(P<0.05),and the study group had higher scores than the control group in terms of first-aid medicines,disinfection and isolation,nursing safety,equipment use and job safety(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse events in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).After management,nursing quality scores of the two groups increased(P<0.05),and the study group had higher scores than the control group in terms of specialist nursing,skills operation,basic nursing,ward nursing,disinfection nursing and graded nursing(P<0.05).Patients in the study group were more satisfied with service attitude,surgical nursing and professional quality than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The comprehensive management under TeamSTEPPS is beneficial to reduce adverse nursing events in digestive endoscopy room,and improve nursing quality and patients satisfaction with nursing.
