Effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine Fumigation Combined with Lumbodorsal Muscle Training on Postoperative Rehabilitation of Patients with Degenerative Lumbar Spondylolisthesis
Objective To explore the effect of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined with lumbodorsal muscle training on postoperative rehabilitation of patients with degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis. Methods Clinical data of 65 patients with degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis were retrospectively collected from June 2021 to January 2023 in Luoyang Orthopedic-Traumatological Hospital of Henan Province. They were divided into a control group(32 cases, abdominal muscle exercise+back and waist muscle exercise)and an observation group(33 cases, abdominal muscle exercise+back and waist muscle exercise+Chinese medicine fumigation)based on different postoperative intervention methods, all of which completed 3 months of intervention. The time of getting out of bed, length of stay, dysfunction[Oswestry disability index(ODI)],pain[visual analogue scale(VAS)score]and quality of life[quality of life 100(QOL-100)]were compared between the two groups before intervention and at 3 months of intervention. Results The time of getting out of bed and staying in hospital in control group were longer than those in observation group(P<0.05).After 3 months of intervention, the QOL-100 score in the control group was lower than that in the observation group, while the ODI and VAS scores were higher than those in the observation group(P<0.05).Conclusion Traditional Chinese medicine fumigation combined with lumbodorsal muscle training can effectively shorten the postoperative time for getting out of bed and hospitalization in patients with degenerative lumbar spondylolisthesis, reduce functional impairmrent and pain, and improve their quality of life.
