Effect of Modified Guizhi Fuling Pills on Patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
Objective To explore the effect of modified Guizhi Fuling pills in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS).Methods A total of 115 patients with PCOS attending the First Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2020 to December 2022,and the 106 cases were finally included after screening.According to the random numbers,they were divided into Chinese medicine group(treatment with modified Guizhi Fuling pills in the basic group,53 cases)and basic group(ethinyl estradiol cyproterone tablets and letrozole tablets,53 cases).The general clinical data and endocrine and metabolic characteristics of all patients were analyzed,and the clinical efficacy,changes of hormone levels,menstrual improvement and pregnancy outcome of in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET)were observed in the two groups.Results There were no differences in age,body mass index(BMI),waist-hip ratio(WHR),Ferriman-Gallway(F-G)score,global acne grading system(GAGS)score,and left and right ovarian volume size between the two groups(P＞0.05).The total effective rate of the Chinese medicine group was higher than that of the basic group(P＜0.05).After treatment,follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),luteinizing hormone(LH),estradiol(E2),testosterone(T)levels in traditional Chinese medicine group were better than those in basic group.The improvement of menstruation in traditional Chinese medicine group was better than that in basic group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Ovum number,embryo number fertilization rate,excellent embryo rate and clinical pregnancy rate in traditional Chinese medicine group were higher than those in basic group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion For the patients with phlegm-stasis interjunction PCOS,the clinical efficacy of modified Guizhi Fuling pills was superior to conventional treatment,which could effectively adjust the LH and T hormone levels,improve menstrual condition and reproductive function,and improve the fertilization rate,fine embryo rate and pregnancy rate,and was worthy of clinical promotion.
