Effects of Traditional Chinese Medicine Characteristic Emotional Therapy on Psychological Adjustment,Sleep Quality and Monoamine Neurotransmitter Level in Patients with Anxiety,Depression and Insomnia
Objective To explore the clinical effect of traditional Chinese medicine characteristic emotional therapy on anxiety and depression combined with insomnia.Methods A total of 116 patients admitted to Kaifeng Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from April 2021 to April 2023 were selected and divided into groups using a random number table method,with 58 patients in each group.The control group received routine western medicine treatment,while the emotional group received traditional Chinese medicine characteristic emotional therapy on this basis.The treatment effects,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,anxiety and depression emotions[Hamilton anxiety and depression scale(HAMA,HAMD)],sleep quality[Pittsburgh sleep index(PSQI)],psychological adjustment ability[psychological resilience scale(CD-RISC)],and levels of monoamine neurotransmitters between two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of the emotional group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After 3 months of treatment,the emotional group had difficulty falling asleep/waking up,emotional depression,fatigue,dizziness and headache,chest and rib fullness,and lower anorexia score than the control group(P<0.05).The HAMA,HAMD,and PSQI scores were lower than the control group(P<0.05),and the CD-RISC score was higher than the control group(P<0.05).The serum levels of dopamine,5-hydroxytryptamine,and norepinephrine were higher than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The traditional Chinese medicine characteristic emotional therapy has a definite therapeutic effect on anxiety and depression combined with insomnia,which can improve anxiety and depression emotions,enhance psychological adjustment ability,sleep quality,and levels of monoamine neurotransmitters,thereby improving the treatment effect.
