Application of Composite Artificial Bone in Maxillary Reconstruction
Objective To study the effect of epoxide acrylate maleic and hydroxyapatite(EH)in the personalized reconstruction of maxillary defects.Methods In this study,7 patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2021 to October 2022 with EH composite artificial bone under the guidance of digital technology,and the basic data,imaging data and related clinical data before and after surgery were analyzed.The age ranged from 27 to 66 years,with a median age of 49 years.Postoperative follow-up period was 5-22 months.Results Six patients had no any postoperative complications and were satisfied with the cosmetic and functional results.One patient removed the implant at postoperative month 7 due to exposure of the artificial bone and repeated infection.Conclusion EH composite artificial bone can repair the defect of maxilla and reconstruct the shape of maxilla.
