Correlation Between Serum TXNIP,sTREM-1 and BMP-7 Levels and Disease Outcome in Patients with Primary Nephrotic Syndrome
Objective To investigate the correlation between serum thioredoxin interacting protein(TXNIP),soluble myeloid cell trigger receptor-1(sTREM-1)and bone morphogenetic protein-7(BMP-7)levels and disease outcome in patients with primary nephrotic syndrome(PNS).Methods Ninety-one patients with PNS admitted to the hospital from April 2019 to April 2022 were selected as the study group, and 91 healthy subjects during the same period were selected as the control group.Serum TXNIP,sTREM-1,BMP-7,renal function index[blood urea nitrogen(BUN),serum creatinine(Scr),uric acid(UA)]levels were compared between the two groups at admission. The correlation between serum indexes and renal function was analyzed.Serum levels were compared between patients with and without recurrence(at admission,3 months after treatment,6 months after treatment). After treatment, the combined prediction value of serum index levels in PNS patients was analyzed, and the risk of relapse in patients with different levels of each index was analyzed. Results Serum TXNIP and sTREM-1 in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and serum BMP-7 was lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Serum BUN,Scr and UA of the study group were higher than those of the control group at admission(P<0.05).At admission, serum TXNIP and sTREM-1 levels were positively correlated with BUN,Scr and UA levels, while serum BMP-7 levels were negatively correlated with BUN,Scr and UA levels(P<0.05).The levels of TXNIP and sTREM-1 in patients with recurrence were higher than those without recurrence at admission,3 months and 6 months after treatment, and the levels of BMP-7 were lower than those without recurrence(P<0.05).After 3 and 6 months of treatment, the combined value of serum indexes in predicting the recurrence of PNS patients was greater than that of single prediction. After 3 and 6 months of treatment, the risk of relapse in patients with high serum levels was 1.906,2.114,0.581 times and 2.571,3.222,0.480 times of that with low levels. Conclusion Serum TXNIP,sTREM-1 and BMP-7 levels are closely related to the severity of PNS patients, and can be used as effective indicators to evaluate the outcome of PNS.
