Application of Nurse-Led Nutrition Management Model in Patients undergoing Peritoneal Dialysis
Objective To explore the impact of nurse-led nutrition management model on the nutritional status of patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis. Methods The convenience sampling method was used,76 patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January to December 2022 were seclected and the patients in new hospital area were set as the experimental group and the points in old word of the hospital were set as the control group, with 38 cases in each group. The control group patients received routine nursing, and the experimental group patients received the nurse-led nutrition management model. The nutritional status(subjective global assessment, serum albumin, hemoglobin, body mass index, arm circumference, arm muscle circumference)were compared between the two groups. Results After 6 months of intervention, the number of patients with normal nutritional status, and the levels of serum albumin, hemoglobin, body mass index and arm circumference in the experimental group were higher than those before intervention and the control group(P<0.05).In the experimental group, intervention had no significant effect on the level of arm muscle circumference, and there was no difference between the experimental group and the control group after intervention. Conclusion The nurse-led nutrition management model can promote patients to master nutrition knowledge, develop healthy dietary habits, improve the nutritional status of patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis.
