Predictive Value of Preoperative Serum Interleukin-10 Expression on Postoperative Recurrence in Patients with Endometriosis
Objective To explore the predictive value of preoperative serum interleukin-10(IL-10)expression for postoperative recurrence of endometriosis(EMT).Methods A total of 124 EMT patients who underwent laparoscopic conservative surgery in Shangqiu Municipal Hospital from January 2019 to May 2021 and were followed up until May 2023 were selected as the study subjects. The expression of serum IL-10 was detected before operation, and the patients were divided into recurrence group and non-recurrence group according to the postoperative recurrence.Serum IL-10 expression and general clinical data were compared between the two groups.Logistic regression model was used to analyze the risk factors for postoperative recurrence in EMT patients, and a receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was drawn to analyze the predictive value of serum IL-10 expression for postoperative recurrence in EMT patients. Results A total 124 patients completed the trial, among them,26 patients experienced postoperative recurrence, with a recurrence rate of 20.97%.There were statistical significant differences in the American Fertility Association(r-AFS)staging,degree of dysmenorrhea, serum carbohydrate antigen 125(CA125),and serum IL-10 expression among EMT patients with different postoperative recurrence rates(P<0.05).The logistic regression model results showed that high r-AFS staging, high degree of dysmenorrhea, and elevated serum CA125 and IL-10 expression were independent risk factors for postoperative recurrence in EMT patients(P<0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that the area under the curve(AUC)of serum CA125,IL-10,r-AFS stage, dysmenorrhea degree alone, serum CA125 and IL-10 combined, and serum CA125 and IL-10 combined in predicting postoperative recurrence of EMT patients were 0.701,0.757,0.641,0.642,0.860 and 0.860,respectively.The predictive value of serum IL-10 alone was similar to that of the combination of the two and the combination of the four(Z=1.297,1.297,P=0.195,0.195).Conclusion The expression of serum IL-10 is correlated with postoperative recurrence in EMT patients, and has predictive value for postoperative recurrence.Combined with serum CA125 has higher predictive value and can be used as an auxiliary indicator for predicting postoperative recurrence in patients.
