Training Effect of Nursing Mini-clinical Exercise Evaluation Combined with Objective Structured Clinical Examination Teaching Model on Undergraduate Emergency Nursing Interns
Objective To observe the application effect of the nursing mini-clinical exercise evaluation(Nursing-Mini-CEX)combined with objective structured clinical examination(OSCE)teaching model in nursing training for undergraduate emergency nursing interns. Methods Seventy-five undergraduate emergency nursing interns from the old hospital area of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from July to November 2023 were selected as the control group and received the conventional teaching mode.Seventy-five undergraduate emergency nursing interns from the east hospital area during the same period were selected as the observation group and received the Nursing-Mini-CEX combined with OSCE teaching mode. The theoretical and first-aid skill assessment scores, active learning state(ALS)scores,Chinese version of critical thinking disposition inventory(CTDI-CV)and job competency were observed for both groups upon admission and discharge. Results At the time of graduation, the theoretical knowledge and operation skills of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).After graduation, the scores of ALS scale,CTDI-CV scale and job competency scale in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In undergraduate emergency nursing teaching management,Nursing-Mini-CEX combined with OSCE teaching mode can help improve interns'academic performance, enhance their learning initiative and critical thinking ability, and strengthen their post competency through multi-site mini-scenario simulation exercise and assessment, which has certain application value in clinical teaching.
