Effectiveness of Hierarchical Chain Nursing in Treating Children with Kawasaki Disease
Objective To investigate the effectiveness of the hierarchical chain nursing model in the treatment of children with Kawasaki disease. Methods This study selected 70 children with Kawasaki disease admitted to Xinxiang Central Hospital from January to December 2023 as the research subjects. The children were randomly divided into control group and experimental group using a double-blind randomization method, with 35 cases in each group. The control group received traditional nursing care, while the experimental group received hierarchical chain nursing care. The main outcome measures included the duration of fever, time to rash resolution, cardiac inflammation recovery time, normalization time of body temperature, and the incidence rates of side effects from aspirin and immunoglobulin.Additionally, the study evaluated improvements in treatment compliance, anxiety and depression, and the enhancement of family support. Results Compared to traditional nursing care, hierarchical chain nursing significantly reduced the duration of fever, alleviated rash more quickly, accelerated the recovery from cardiac inflammation and normalization of body temperature, reduced the incidence rates of side effects from medications, improved cardiac function and coronary artery abnormalities, decreased the findings of abnormal ECGs and echocardiograms, and lowered the incidence rates of heart failure and arrhythmias(P<0.05).Hierarchical chain nursing significantly improved treatment compliance(P<0.01),effectively reduced anxiety and depression(P<0.05),and significantly enhanced family support(P<0.01).Conclusion The hierarchical chain nursing model has significant advantages in the treatment of children with Kawasaki disease. It can improve disease indicators, effectively reduce the side effects of drug treatment and cardiac function abnormalities, and enhance the psychological state and treatment compliance of the children. This model is worth promoting for application.
