Correlation Between TIgE,SIgE and Vestibular Impairment in Patients with Meniere's Disease
Objective To analyze the correlation of total serum immunoglobulin E(TIgE),specific immunoglobulin E(SIgE)and vestibular function in patients with Meniere's disease. Methods In March 2021 to February 2023 at the records of 67 patients with Meniere's disease of outpatient as observation group,50 cases admitted to hospital medical healthy subjects as control group during this period, the detection of two groups of serum TIgE,SIgE,and pure tone hearing threshold and vestibular function examination[cold hot dual temperature test, ocular vestibular evoked myogenic potentials(oVEMP),cervical vestibular evoked myogenic potentials(cVEMP)muscle origin].The correlation of serum TIgE,SIgE was analyzed by Pearson's correlation. The value of serum TIgE and SIgE in predicting deafness was evaluated by ROC curve for Meniere's disease. Results Compared with the serum TIgE and SIgE levels of the two groups, the serum TIgE and SIgE levels of the observation group were higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Average pure tone hearing threshold value of observation group was obviously higher than that of control group(P<0.05).Comparison of serum TIgE,SIgE level, vestibular function subtraction potential,oVEMP potential, and cVEMP potential in patients with different deafness levels of Meniere's disease:normal<mild<moderate<severe(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that Meniere's disease patients serum TIgE and the degree of the deaf, the reduction potential of vestibular function value,oVEMP potential value,cVEMP potential value, all were positively correlated(r=0.809,0.643,0.513,0.677,P<0.001).SIgE and deafness, vestibular function reduction potential value,oVEMP potential value,cVEMP potential values were positively correlated(r=0.839,0.702,0.429,0.699,P<0.001).According to ROC curve analysis, the combined detection of serum TIgE,SIgE,TIgE and SIgE predicted high sensitivity and specificity of deafness in Meniere's disease, and the area under the curve were 0.939,0.913 and 0.982,respectively.Conclusion Serum TIgE,SIgE and vestibular function are correlated in patients with Meniere's disease, and their separate or combined detection has predictive value for the occurrence of Meniere's disease deafness.
