Analysis of Tuberculosis Screening Among Junior and Senior High School Freshmen from 2021-2023 in Wancheng District,Nanyang City,Henan Province
Objective To analyze the screening of tuberculosis among junior and senior high school freshmen in Wancheng District,Nanyang City,Henan Province from 2021 to 2023,and to provide basis for further prevention and control of tuberculosis in schools.Methods Junior and senior high school freshmen enrolled in Wancheng District,Nanyang City from 2021 to 2023 were selected as the research subjects.The tuberculosis skin test(TST)was conducted in the first semester of enrollment for all new students.The positive rate of TST was determined based on the test results,and the epidemiological characteristics were analyzed using descriptive epidemiological methods.Results From 2021 to 2023,a total of 57 842 new students enrolled in junior and senior high schools were surveyed.Among them,10 110(17.48%)were TST positive,including 203(0.35%)of general positive cases,4 173(7.21%)of moderate positive cases,and 5 734(9.91%)of severe positive cases.The highest TST positive rate was in 2021(20.55%).There was a statistically significant difference in the TST positivity rate among 3 years(x2=266.425,P<0.01).The TST positivity rate of high school freshmen(20.72%)was higher than that of junior school freshmen(x2=181.185,P<0.01).The TST positivity rate of urban freshmen(18.88%)was higher than that of rural freshmen(x2=190.658,P<0.01).The TST positivity rate of male students(19.73%)was higher than that of female students(x2=171.820,P<0.01).Conclusion The positive rate of TST for junior and senior high school freshmen in Wancheng District,Nanyang City,Henan Province is high,and the pressure of school tuberculosis prevention and control is still high.It is necessary to continue to strengthen the implementation of school tuberculosis prevention and control measures.
