Comparison of the Therapeutic Effects of Arterial Interventional Chemotherapy"Super Selection Method"and"Balloon Blockade Method"on Retinoblastoma
Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of arterial interventional chemotherapy with super selection method and balloon blockade method in the treatment of retinoblastoma(RB).Methods A total of 90 RB patients(141 eyes)admitted to Children's Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University from June 2020 to June 2022 were selected as the research subjects. They were divided into superselective group(45 cases,68 eyes)and a blocking group(45 eyes,73 eyes)based on the treatment methods. The superselective group received arterial interventional chemotherapy"super selection method",while the blocking group received arterial interventional chemotherapy"balloon blockade method".The clinical efficacy, maximum lesion size and mass thickness, serum tumor indexes[survivin,Livin, vascular endothelial growth factor(VECF),matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9)],eye protection rate, recurrence rate, metastasis rate, safety analysis and prognosis were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the superselected group(95.59%)was higher than that of the blocking group(83.56%)(P<0.05).Serum survivin,Livin,VEGE and MMP-9 levels in the superselected group were lower than those in the blocking group after 2 and 4 cycles of treatment(P<0.05).There were no statistical differences in eye protection rate, recurrence rate, metastasis rate, toxic and side effects, complications and prognosis between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion"Superselection"and"balloon blocking"are effective in the treatment of RB children, but"superselection"is better than"balloon blocking",and there is no significant difference in safety analysis between the two groups.
