Expression and Clinical Significance of Serum GLP-1 in Non-diabetic Patients with Atherosclerosis of Different Severity
Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of serum glucagon-like peptide-1(GLP-1)in non-diabetic patients with atherosclerosis(AS)of different severity. Methods According to the principle of 1∶1∶1,55 non-diabetic patients with mild AS(mild group),55 patients with moderate AS(moderate group)and 55 patients with severe AS(severe group)were selected in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University from April 2022 to September 2023.Clinical data and serum GLP-1 level of the three groups were collected, and the influencing factors of the severity of non-diabetic AS patients were analyzed by univariate and logistic regression, and the serum GLP-1 level of the three groups was compared. The correlation of serum GLP-1 level with the severity of non-diabetic AS patients was analyzed, the correlation of serum GLP-1 level with the factors influencing of the severity of non-diabetic AS patients was analyzed. Results There were statistical differences in body mass index(BMI),systolic blood pressure, total cholesterol, triglyceride, high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)and low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)among three groups(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that BMI,systolic blood pressure≥140 mmHg,total cholesterol≥5.2 mmol·L-1,triglyceride≥1.7 mmol·L-1,LDL-C≥3.4 mmol·L-1 were independent risk factors for non-diabetic severe AS.HDL-C ≥ 1.0 mmol·L-1 was an independent protective factor for non-diabetic severe AS(P<0.05).Serum GLP-1 level among three groups:mild group>moderate group>severe group(P<0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed that serum GLP-1 level was negatively correlated with the severity of non-diabetic AS patients(P<0.001).Serum GLP-1 level was negatively correlated with BMI,systolic blood pressure, total cholesterol, triglyceride and LDL-C,and positively correlated with HDL-C(P<0.05).Conclusion The serum GLP-1 level in non-diabetic patients with AS of different severity is different, and the serum GLP-1 level is closely related to the severity of non-diabetic AS patients. In addition, serum GLP-1 level is also correlated with the affecting factors of the severity of non-diabetic AS patients, such as BMI,total cholesterol, systolic blood pressure,triglyceride,LDL-C,HDL-C.Serum GLP-1 can provide a reference for clinical diagnosis and treatment of non-diabetic AS patients with different severity.
