Application of Situational Simulation and PBL Teaching Method in Postgraduates Teaching of Ophthalmic Diagnosis and Treatment
Objective To evaluate the application effect of situational simulation and PBL teaching in the ophthalmic diagnosis and treatment process for postgraduate students. Methods Fifty ophthalmic postgraduates who rotated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 1,2019 to December 31,2022 were randomly divided into two groups. The observation group adopted situational simulation and PBL teaching mode, and the control group adopted the traditional PBL teaching mode.At the end of the teaching, the participating graduate students were tested with theoretical knowledge, clinical practice, case analysis, latest guidelines and latest progress tests, and satisfaction. The teaching effect of two different teaching modes on ophthalmology postgraduates was evaluated. Results The scores in clinical practice, case analysis, latest guidelines and latest progress in observation group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05),while there was no statistical difference in theoretical knowledge between the two groups(P=0.567).The satisfaction scores in 10 dimensions of self-made satisfaction questionnaire of observation group were higher than those of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In the process of ophthalmic diagnosis and treatment teaching, situational simulation combined with PBL teaching has improved teaching effectiveness, enhanced the latest professional knowledge, and is worthy of clinical promotion and use.
