Therapeutic Effect of Mild Moxibustion Along the Meridian Combined with Local Drug Injection on Cervical Spondylotic Radiculopathy
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of mild moxibustion along the meridian combined with local drug injection in the treatment of cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(CSR).Methods According to the random number table method,82 CSR patients admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology from January 2021 to September 2022 were divided into a control group(41 cases, treated with local drug injection)and an observation group(41 cases, treated with local drug injection+mild moxibustion along meridians),both of whom received continuous treatment for 2 weeks. The clinical efficacy, pain degree[short form McGill pain questionnaire(SF-MPQ)],carotid artery blood flow velocity and cervical function[clinical assessment scale for cervical spondylosis(CASCS),neck disability index(NDI)]of the two groups were compared, and the adverse reactions during the treatment of the two groups were counted. Results The clinical total effective rate, carotid blood flow velocity and CASCS score in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, while the SF-MPQ questionnaire score and NDI score were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions was compared between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Mild moxibustion along meridians combined with local drug injection can improve the therapeutic effect of CSR patients, relieve pain, improve carotid blood flow velocity and cervical function, and will not increase adverse reactions.
