Relationship Between Serum IgA,IgG,IgM,Hcy,Blood Lipids and the Severity of Sudden Deafness in Patients
Objective To analyze the role of serum immunoglobulin, homocysteine(Hcy),and blood lipids in evaluating the severity of sudden deafness in patients. Methods A total of 100 patients(case group)with sudden deafness admitted to the Otolaryngology Department of the General Hospital of Pingmei Shenma Medical Group and 100 healthy individuals(healthy control group)were selected. Two sets of serum samples were collected and tested for immunoglobulin(Ig)A,IgG,IgM,Hcy,total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C).The case group was divided into mild, moderate, and severe and extremely severe, the levels of various indicators in different groups of patients were analyzed, and the correlation between each indicator and the severity of the condition was analyzed. Results The serum levels of IgA,IgG,and IgM in the case group were lower than those in the healthy control group. The levels of Hcy,TC,TG,and LDL-C were higher than those in the healthy control group, while the level of HDL-C was lower than that in the healthy control group(P<0.05).A total of 100 cases in the case group were classified according to the severity of the disease. There were 18 cases in the mild group,28 cases in the moderate group,34 cases in the severe group, and 20 cases in the extremely severe group. As the severity of the disease increased, the serum levels of IgA,IgG,and IgM were lower, while the serum levels of Hcy and HDL-C were higher(P<0.05).However,there was no difference in the levels of TC,TG,and LDL-C among patients with different degrees of disease(P>0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that serum IgA,IgG,IgM,HDL-C levels were negatively correlated with the severity of the disease, while Hcy levels were positively correlated with the severity of the disease(P<0.05).There was no correlation between the levels of TC,TG,LDL-C and the severity of the disease(P>0.05).Conclusion In patients with sudden deafness, serum IgA,IgG,IgM levels decrease, while Hcy,TC,TG,LDL-C levels increase, while HDL-C levels decrease. These levels are closely related to the severity of the condition and can provide a basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
