Effect of Zishen Yizhi Formula on Cerebral Blood Flow Perfusion and Cognitive Function in Patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment After Cerebral Infarction
Objective To study the therapeutic effect of Zishen Yizhi Formula on patients with mild cognitive impairment(MCI)after cerebral infarction,and to analyze the impact of drugs on cerebral blood flow perfusion and cognitive function in patients.Methods A total of 80 patients with MCI after cerebral infarction from August 2021 to August 2022 at the Ruzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine were selected.Using a random number table method,the samples were divided into two groups,with 40 patients in each group.All patients received symptomatic treatment for cerebral infarction.The control group was treated with oracetam capsules,while the observation group was treated with a combination of Zishen Yizhi Formula on the basis of the control group.All patients were treated for 2 months.The efficacy,cerebral blood perfusion[mean blood flow velocity and pulse index of anterior cerebral artery(ACA)and middle cerebral artery(MCA)]were compared between the two groups.The cognitive function of patients was evaluated by mini-mental state examination(MMSE)and Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA).The modified Barthel index(MBI)was used to evaluate the daily life function of the patients.The occurrence of adverse reactions during treatment was counted.Results After treatment,compared with control group,the total effective rate of the observation group was higher(P＜0.05).After treatment,the average blood flow velocity of ACA and MCA in both groups increased,with the observation group showing a more significant increase in average blood flow velocity(P＜0.05).However,there was no statistical difference in the pulsatility index of ACA and MCA in both groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,the MMSE,MoCA,and MBI scores of both groups increased,and compared with control group,the observation group was higher(P＜0.05).There was no statistical difference in the frequency of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion The combination of Zishen Yizhi Formula and Western medicine treatment can help patients with mild cognitive impairment in cerebral infarction recover their cerebral blood flow perfusion level well,have a better impact on their cognitive function,and can improve the treatment effect and safety compared to individual Western medicine treatment.
