Application Value of Early Micro Feeding Combined with Multi-sensory Stimulation in Premature Infants
Objective To explore the effects of early micro feeding combined with multi-sensory stimulation on gastrointestinal function and growth and development in premature infants. Methods Retrospective analysis was carried out to collect the data of 40 premature infants who had implemented early micro feeding from January 2019 to October 2022 in the First Ward of Pediatrics of Pingdingshan First People's Hospital, and included them in the control group. At the same time, the data of 40 premature infants who had implemented early micro feeding and multi-sensory stimulation in the hospital were included in the observation group. The gastrointestinal function, growth and development rate and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results During the nursing process, the time of full enteral feeding, nasogastric intubation retention and gastrointestinal transit of preterm infants in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05).The head circumference growth rate, body length growth rate and weight growth rate of premature infants in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions during feeding in premature infants in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Early micro feeding combined with multi-sensory stimulation can improve the gastrointestinal function of premature infants, reduce adverse reactions during the feeding process, and effectively promote the growth and development of premature infants, its application value in premature infants is high.
