Expression Levels and Clinical Significance of SOST,u-PA and β-catenin in Synovial Tissue of Hip Joint in Patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis
Objective To explore the expression levels of bone sclerostin(SOST),urokinase type plasminogen activator(u-PA)and β-catenin(β-catenin)in the synovial tissue of hip patients with ankylosing spondylitis(AS).Methods A total of 80 AS patients treated in Henan Provincial People's Hospital from July 2018 to June 2023 were selected as the case group,and 80 trauma fracture patients during the same period were selected as the control group.The SOST,u-PA,β-catenin expression in the case group and control group,different ankylosing spondylitis disease activity scores(ASDAS),Bath ankylosing spondylitis disease activity index(BASDAI),Bath ankylosing spondylitis functional index(BASFI)were compared,and the predictive value of SOST,u-PA and β-catenin expression in the synovial tissue of the hip joint for AS were analyzed.Results The expression of SOST,u-PA and β-catenin in the hip synovial tissue of the case group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The expression of SOST and u-PA in the hip synovial tissue of patients with extremely high disease activity and high disease activity were higher than those of patients in remission(P<0.05).The expression of β-catenin in the hip synovial tissue of patients with extremely high disease activity was higher than that of patients in remission stage(P<0.05).SOST,u-PA and β-catenin expression in the hip synovial tissue of patients with B ASDA 1≥ 5 were higher than patients with BASDAI<5(P<0.05).Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis showed that the area under the curve of SOST,u-PA and β-catenin and their combined prediction were 0.861,0.818,0.860 and 0.905,respectively.The sensitivity and specificity corresponding to the optimal critical values were as follows,SOST was 78.8%,88.7%,u-PA was 95.0%,56.2%,β-catenin was 68.8%,91.2%,and the combination of the three was 92.5%,83.8%.Conclusion The expression of SOST,u-PA and β-catenin was increased in the synovial tissue of hip patients with AS,which is related to disease activity and disease severity,and the combination of SOST,u-PA and β-catenin in hip synovial tissue had high predictive value for AS.
