Hp Infection Status in Patients with Oral Lichen Planus and Its Relationship with Immune Function
Objective To analyse the status of Helicobacter pylori(Hp)infection in patients with oral lichen planus(OLP)and its correlation with immune function. Methods A total of 215 OLP patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January to December 2023 were selected as the OLP group, and 182 healthy volunteers in the same period were selected as the healthy group. The Hp infection status was compared in the healthy group and OLP group, and the patients were divided the OLP group into OLP-positive and OLP-negative groups according to the results of the Hp test. The levels of various immune indexes in the OLP-positive group and OLP-negative group were compared, and the correlation between the immune indexes and OLP positivity was analyzed. Results The rate of Hp infection in the healthy group was lower than that in the OLP group.Total T-lymphocyte(T)+B-lymphocyte(B)+natural killer cell(NK),induced T lymphocyte(CD4+),immunoglobulin G(IgG),complement 3(C3),complement 4(C4)levels were lower in the OLP-positive group than those in the OLP-negative group, and B-lymphocyte surface antigen(CD19+),immunoglobulin A(IgA),immunoglobulin M(IgM)levels were higher than in the OLP-negative group.Correlation analysis showed that total T+B+NK,CD4+,IgG,C3,C4 were negatively correlated with OLP positivity(r=-0.961,-0.754,-0.501,-0.145,-0.669,P<0.05),and CD19+,IgA,IgM were positively correlated with OLP positivity(r=0.443,0.475,0.349,P<0.05).Conclusion OLP patients have a high rate of Hp infection, and patients infected with Hp have poor immune function,in which total T+B+NK,CD4+,IgG,C3,C4 are negatively correlated with Hp positivity in OLP patients, and CD19+,IgA,IgM are positively correlated with Hp positivity in OLP patients, and the clinic can use the above immune function indexes as an index to assess Hp positivity in OLP patients.
