Correlation Between Peripheral Blood CD4+/CD8+and Clinical Prognosis in Children with Bronchopneumonia
Objective To explore the correlation between peripheral blood CD4+/CD8+and clinical prognosis in children with bronchopneumonia. Methods A total of 120 children with bronchopneumonia admitted to the Fifth People's Hospital of Puyang City from June 2020 to June 2023 were prospectively included.Clinical prognosis was evaluated based on the treatment effectiveness of the children, and they were divided into a good prognosis group and a poor prognosis group. All children were tested for T lymphocyte subpopulations and CD4+/CD8+were calculated at admission. The relationship between peripheral blood CD4+/CD8+and poor prognosis in children with bronchopneumonia was tested using point two column correlation, and the predictive value of peripheral blood CD4+/CD8+for poor prognosis in children with bronchopneumonia was analyzed by drawing a receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve. Results A total of 120 children with bronchopneumonia were included in this study,of which 23 children had poor prognosis, accounting for 19.17%.They were included in the poor prognosis group, while the remaining 97 children were included in the good prognosis group. The CD4+and CD4+/CD8+levels in the poor prognosis group were lower than those in the good prognosis group, and CD8+level was higher than that in the good prognosis group, with a statistical significant difference(P<0.05).Through point two column correlation analysis, both CD4+and CD4+/CD8+were negatively correlated with poor prognosis in children with bronchopneumonia(r<0,P<0.05),while CD8+was positively correlated with poor prognosis in children with bronchopneumonia(r>0,P<0.05).The ROC curve showed that CD4+,CD8+and CD4+/CD8+had certain predictive value for poor prognosis in children with bronchial pneumonia(area under the curve>0.70),and CD4+/CD8+had the best predictive efficacy. Conclusion There is a correlation between peripheral blood CD4+/CD8+at admission and poor prognosis in children with bronchopneumonia. The lower CD4+/CD8+,the higher the risk of poor prognosis in children.CD4+/CD8+can be used as a predictive indicator for clinical prognosis of bronchopneumonia.
