Effects of Ozone Local Injection Combined with Sumatriptan in the Treatment of Intractable Migraine
Objective To observe the efficacy of ozone local injection combined with sumatriptan in the treatment of intractable migraine. Methods A total of 85 patients with intractable migraine admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Henan University of Science and Technology from February 2021 to February 2023 were randomly divided into the study group(43 cases)and the control group(42 cases). The control group was treated with sumatriptan, while the study group received ozone local injection in addition to the control group. The serological indexes[5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT),interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α)],headache attack frequency, attack duration and attack degree[visual analogue scale(VAS)]were compared between the two groups.Adverse reactions were counted. Results After treatment, the levels of 5-HT,IL-6 and TNF-α in the two groups decreased, and those in the study group were lower(P<0.05).After treatment, the frequency of headache attacks in the two groups decreased, and the study group was less(P<0.05).After treatment, the duration of headache attacks in the two groups was shortened, and the study group was shorter(P<0.05).After treatment, the VAS scores of the two groups decreased, and the study group was lower(P<0.05).There was no difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Ozone local injection combined with sumatriptan can improve the analgesic effect and has good safety in the treatment of refractory migraine.
