Effect of Multi-dimensional Nursing Based on the Empowerment Theory on Stress Response and Rehabilitation of Patients After Laparoscopic Colon Cancer Surgery
Objective To explore the influence of multi-dimensional nursing based on the empowerment theory on the stress response and postoperative rehabilitation of patients with laparoscopic colon cancer. Methods Eighty-eight patients undergoing laparoscopic colon cancer surgery in Henan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2019 to December 2022 were divided into two groups(44 cases each)according to random number table. The control group received routine nursing intervention, and the observation group received multi-dimensional nursing intervention.Stress response levels[tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-6(IL-6),cortisol(Cor)],rehabilitation,postoperative complications and quality of life scores were compared in two groups. Results The levels of IL-6,TNF-α and Cor were increased between the two groups after surgery, but the levels of IL-6,TNF-α and Cor in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The anal ventilation time, the first time to get out of bed,the total length of hospital stay and the first defecation time of the observation group were shorter(P<0.05).The scores of quality of life in both groups increased one month after surgery, and the scores in the observation group was higher(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower compared with the control group(4.54%vs 18.18%)(P<0.05).Conclusion The multi-dimensional nursing based on the empowerment theory can effectively reduce the stress response in the perioperative period of laparoscopic colon cancer patients, accelerate postoperative rehabilitation, reduce complications and improve the quality of life.
