Objective To investigate the effect of follow-up nursing in adult epilepsy patients in remission period. Methods A total of 68 adult patients with epilepsy in remission period in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2022 to June 2023 were divided into control group(34 cases)and observation group(34 cases)using random number table method. On the basis of routine nursing in the control group, the observation group was given follow-up nursing intervention. The scores of Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA),Hamilton depression scale(HAMD),demoralization scale-mandarin version(DS-MV),the epilepsy self-management scale(ESME)and quality of life in epilepsy-31(QOLIE-31)were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results After intervention,HAMA,HAMD and DS-MV scores of the two groups decreased,ESME and QOLIE-31 scores increased, and the HAMA,HAMD and DS-MV scores of the observation group were lower, and ESME and QOLIE-31 scores were higher(P<0.05).Conclusion Follow-up nursing can effectively relieve the anxiety, depression and lack of ambition syndrome of adult epilepsy patients in remission period, and has a positive effect on improving patients'self-care ability and quality of life.
