Clinical Nursing Experience of Ventriculoperitoneal Shunt in the Treatment of Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus
Objective To explore the clinical nursing experience of ventriculo-peritoneal shunt(V-PS)in the treatment of normal pressure hydrocephalus(NPH).Methods A total of 78 NPH patients who received V-PS treatment in the Department of Neurosurgery of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2018 to December 2022 were enrolled as the study subjects and were randomly divided into observation group and control group. The observation group received a comprehensive nursing strategy, and the control group received a conventional nursing mode, and the postoperative clinical efficacy, adverse reactions and satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of discharge in the observation group was 97.4%,which was significantly higher than that in the control group(79.5%).The adverse reaction rate during hospitalization was 5.1%in the observation group, which was much lower than that in the control group(23.1%).The satisfaction rate of patients in the observation group was as high as 94.9%,and that in the control group was 79.5%.There were statistically significant differences in total clinical effective rate, nursing satisfaction and incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of comprehensive nursing intervention strategies can significantly improve the surgical efficacy, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions and effectively improve the nursing satisfaction of patients with perioperative NPH.
