Meta-Analysis on the Therapeutic Effectiveness and Safety Profile of Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction in the Treatment of Primary Dysmenorrhea of Cold Coagulation and Blood Stasis Type
Objective To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction in the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea(PD)of cold coagulation and blood stasis type.Methods Chinese databases and foreign databases were searched for randomized controlled trials of Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction in the treatment of PD of cold coagulation and blood stasis type.Data extraction and quality evaluation were carried out by two independent evaluators respectively.Meta analysis of valid data was performed using RevMan 5.3.3 software.Results A total of 8 controlled clinical trials were included,and 797 cases were collected.The results of meta-analysis showed that Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction in the treatment with PD of cold coagulation and blood stasis type had statistical significance compared with conventional treatment in terms of total effective rate,traditional Chinese medicine symptom score,visual analogue scale of pain,and prostaglandin E2(PGE2)(P＜0.05).Conclusion Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction has obvious therapeutic effect and has high safety level,but it still has certain limitations,which needs to be verified by more large samples,high-quality,multi-center,randomized,double-blind controlled trials,so as to provide higher level of evidence-based medical evidence.
