Diagnostic Value of Serum CYFRA21-1,VEGF,AFP,CA19-9 and SCC Levels in Esophageal Cancer
Objective To explore the diagnostic value of serum cytokeratin 19 fragment antigen 21-1(CYFRA21-1),vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),alpha-fetoprotein(AFP),carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9)and squamous cell carcinoma antigen(SCC)levels in esophageal cancer.Methods The clinical data of 86 patients with esophageal cancer admitted to Zhengzhou Central Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University from February 2022 to February 2024 were analyzed retrospectively(study group),and the clinical data of 43 healthy people in Zhengzhou Central Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University at the same time were selected for control study(control group).The differences of serum CYFRA21-1,VEGF,AFP,CA19-9 and SCC levels between the two groups were compared,and their diagnostic value for esophageal cancer were analyzed by ROC curve.The relationship between the serum levels of CYFRA21-1,VEGF,AFP,CA19-9 and SCC and the pathological features of esophageal cancer was analyzed.Results The serum levels of CYFRA21-1,VEGF,AFP,CA19-9 and SCC in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05).The results of binary Logistic regression analysis showed that CYFRA21-1,VEGF,AFP,CA19-9 and SCC were all risk factors of esophageal cancer(P＜0.05).ROC curve analysis showed that serum levels of CYFRA21-1,VEGF,AFP,CA19-9 and SCC were 0.747,0.779,0.745,0.749 and 0.765,respectively,which had certain diagnostic value.The AUC of combined data in diagnosing esophageal cancer was 0.855,the sensitivity was 90.7％,and the specificity was 98.5％.Serum CYFRA21-1,VEGF,AFP,CA19-9andSCC levels of tumor size≥3 cm patients were higher than those of tumor size＜3 cm patients.Serum CYFRA21-1,VEGF,AFP,CA19-9 and SCC levels of clinical stage Ⅲ～Ⅳ patients were higher than those of stage Ⅰ-Ⅱ patients.Serum CYFRA21-1,VEGF,AFP,CA19-9 and SCC levels of patients with lymph node metastasis were higher than those of patients without lymph node metastasis(P＜0.05).Conclusion The levels of serum CYFRA21-1,VEGF,AFP,CA19-9 and SCC in patients with esophageal cancer are increased,which are closely related to the clinical characteristics of esophageal cancer.They are risk factors for esophageal cancer,and can be used as related indicators for the diagnosis of esophageal cancer,and the combined diagnosis value is better.
