Effect of Different Incision Microsurgical Vascular Decompression in the Treatment of Facial Spasm
Objective To analyze the effect of microsurgical vascular decompression(MVD)with different incisions in the treatment of hemifacial spasm(HFS).Methods A total of 97 patients with HFS admitted in Zhoukou Central Hospital from June 2019 to November 2023 were retrospectively collected and divided into two groups according to different treatment schemes. The vertical incision group(49 cases)received vertical incision MVD,and the transverse incision group(48 cases)received postauricular transverse incision MVD,The basic indicators of surgery, facial beauty satisfaction, complications, perioperative visual analogue scale(VAS)score and brainstem auditory evoked potential(BAEP)of the two groups were observed. Results Compared with the vertical incision group, the horizontal incision group had shorter surgical duration and incision length, and less intraoperative bleeding(P<0.05).The VAS scores of the transverse incision group were lower than those of the vertical incision group 12 hours after surgery, and the improvement was greater than that of the vertical incision group(P<0.05).The BAEP of the transverse incision group was higher than that of the vertical incision group in terms of the 12 hour interval, latency, and amplitude after surgery(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the transverse incision group was lower than that in the vertical incision group(P<0.05).The satisfaction with facial aesthetics in the horizontal incision group was higher than that in the vertical incision group(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with the vertical incision, the effect of MVD in the treatment of HFS is significant, which can significantly improve the surgical effect, reduce postoperative pain, enhance BAEP,reduce complications, and improve facial beauty.
