Effect of Tianma Gouteng Decoction in the Treatment of Optic Neuropathy
Objective To analyze the clinical application value of Tianma Gouteng Decoction in the treatment of optic neuropathy.Methods A study was conducted from January 2020 to September 2023 at the Second People's Hospital of Puyang.A total of 168 patients with optic neuropathy were randomly divided into study group(84 cases,treated with Tianma Gouteng Decoction)and control group(84 cases,treated with ginkgo leaf extract and dipyridamole injection).The curative effect,peripapillary nerve fiber layer thickness,retinal ganglion cell complex thickness,amplitude and latency of visual evoked potential Pl00 wave,visual acuity level,difference in loss of visual field,average light sensitivity,and average defect of visual field were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the peripapillary nerve fiber layer thickness and retinal ganglion cell complex thickness in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the 15'P100 wave amplitude and 60'P100 wave amplitude in the study group were higher than those in the control group,while the 15'P100 wave latency and 60'P100 wave latency were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the visual acuity level in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,the difference in loss of visual field and average defect of visual field in the study group were lower than those in the control group,while the average light sensitivity was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Tianma Gouteng Decoction has a significant effect on patients with optic neuropathy,which can reduce the peripapillary nerve fiber layer thickness and retinal ganglion cell complex thickness,improve visual evoked potential parameters,and improve visual field and visual acuity levels.
