Impact of Peer Support Model Based on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs on Self-care Ability,Psychological Resilience, and MACE in Patients with Coronary Heart Disease Undergoing PCI
Objective To explore the application effect of peer support model based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods A total of 102 CHD patients who underwent PCI treatment at the First People's Hospital of Pingdingshan from May 2022 to April 2023 were selected for inclusion in the study. They were divided into a control group and an observation group, with 51 cases in each group, according to a random number table method. The control group received routine care, while the observation group received a peer support model based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs on this basis. The Connor-Davidson resilience scale(CD-RISC),exercise of self-care agency scale(ESCA),general self-efficacy scale(GSES),aerobic exercise capacity, and medication compliance before and after intervention,as well as the incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE)were observed in both groups. Results After intervention, the observation group patients showed higher scores in CD-RISC,ESCA,GSES,medication compliance, anaerobic threshold(AT),and peak oxygen consumption(VO2peak)compared to the control group(P<0.05).However,there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of MACE between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The peer support model based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs can improve the psychological resilience of CHD PCI patients, enhance their self-efficacy,self-care ability, and medication adherence, thereby improving their aerobic exercise capacity.
