Application of Evidence-Based Refined Nursing in Newborns with Severe Pneumonia
Objective To explore the application effect of evidence-based refined nursing in newborns with severe pneumonia. Methods The data of 40 neonates with severe pneumonia who completed treatment and intensive care in Department of Pediatrics of Henan Provincial People's Hospital from December 2020 to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed and included in the control group.Data of 40 newborns with severe pneumonia who completed treatment in the hospital and refined evidence-based nursing during the same period were included in the observation group. The clinical indicators, incidence of complications, and parents'satisfaction with nursing implementation during the nursing period of the child were recorded. Results The ventilation time, disappearance time of lung signs and hospitalization time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group(P<0.05),and the total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).The overall satisfaction rate of parents in the observation group with nursing implementation after nursing was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of evidence-based refined nursing in newborns with severe pneumonia can promote better and faster improvement of their main symptoms and signs, shorten hospital stay, reduce the incidence of related complications, and make family members more satisfied with the implementation of care.
