Status Quo and Influencing Factors of Frailty in Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease
Objective To analyze the frailty status of patients with inflammatory bowel disease and its related influencing factors. Methods A convenience sampling method was used to select 324 hospitalized patients with inflammatory bowel disease who visited the Department of Gastroenterology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from December 2022 to February 2024 as the research subjects.Patients were assessed using the general profile questionnaire, frailty phenotype scale,patient-generated subjective global assessment(PG-SGA),and hospital anxiety/depression scale. Results Among 324 patients with inflammatory bowel disease in neurosurgery,204 cases(62.96%)showed weakness.Age,albumin,PG-SGA score, and depression status were the main influencing factors of frailty(P<0.05).Conclusion The incidence of frailty is higher in patients with inflammatory bowel disease.Clinical medical staff should pay attention to elderly patients, patients receiving active treatment,high-risk groups with PG-SGA scores≥4 and depressive symptoms, and should develop and implement targeted intervention measures to prevent or improve patients'frailty.
