Improvement Effect of Situational Games in Structured Model on Emotional Regulation in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Objective To explore the application effect of situational games in structured model for children with autism spectrum disorder(ASD).Methods A total of 81 children with ASD who were treated at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from January 2020 to February 2022 were selected as the research subjects,40 patients were assigned to the control group and 41 patients to the observation group according to the order of admission. The control group received conventional structured model, while the observation group received conventional structured model combined with situational game therapy. The therapeutic effects of the two groups were compared,as well as the scores of the psychoeducational profile-third edition(PEP-3)for autistic children, the childhood autism rating scale(CARS),and the Gesell developmental assessment scale. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After 6 months of intervention, the CARS score was decreased in the observation group, and the adaptive, fine motor, language, personal and social, and gross motor developmental quotient(DQ)scores were increased in the Gesell scale(P<0.05).After 6 months of intervention, the cognitive, language comprehension, language behavior characteristics, imitation, small muscle, and large muscle scores in the PEP-3 of the observation group were increased(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference in language expression, emotional expression, social interaction and non-verbal behavior between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Structured model+situational game therapy is more effective for children with ASD,which can better improve their emotional regulation ability, reduce abnormal behaviors, and help promote their physical and mental development.
