Diagnostic Value of Serum Levels of sTNFR1,5-HT,and miR-146a-5p in Patients with First-Episode Schizophrenia
Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of serum levels of soluble tumor necrosis factor receptor 1(sTNFR1),5-hyd roxytryptamine(5-HT),and microribonucleic acid-146a-5p(miR-146a-5p)in patients with first-episode schizophrenia. Methods A total of 128 patients with first-episode schizophrenia admitted to the Second People's Hospital of Shangqiu from June 2020 to June 2022 were selected as the case group, and another 135 healthy individuals admitted during the same period were selected as the control group. All patients in the case group received treatment with olanzapine tablets and continued for 1 month. The clinical data from two groups were collected, the serum levels of sTNFR1,5-HT,and miR-146a-5p between the two groups and before and after 1 month of treatment of the case group were compared. The correlation between serum levels of sTNFR1,5-HT,miR-146a-5p and score of PANSS in first-episode schizophrenia patients was using Pearson correlation analysis, draw subject operating characteristic(ROC)curves, and the diagnostic value of serum levels of sTNFR1,5-HT,and miR-146a-5p in first-episode schizophrenia was analyzed. Results The score of positive and negative symptom scale(PANSS)and serum level of sTNFR1 in the case group were higher than the control group(P<0.05),the serum levels of 5-HT and miR-146a-5p were lower than the control group(P<0.05).Compared with before treatment, the serum level of sTNFR1 in the case group decreased after 1 month of treatment(P<0.05),the serum levels of 5-HT and miR-146a-5p increased(P<0.05).The Pearson correlation analysis results showed that the serum sTNFR1 level in first-episode schizophrenia patients was positively correlated with score of PANSS(r=0.623,P<0.05),the levels of serum 5-HT and miR-146a-5p were negatively correlated with score of PANSS(r=-0.498,-0.521,P<0.05).The area under the curve(AUC)value of the combined detection of serum sTNFR1,5-HT,and miR-146a-5p for the diagnosis of first-episode schizophrenia was 0.915,which was higher than that of the individual detection of serum sTNFR1,5-HT,and miR-146a-5p(P<0.05).Conclusion The serum levels of sTNFR1 were highly expressed in patients with first-episode schizophrenia, while the serum levels of 5-HT and miR-146a-5p were lower. After treatment, the three levels improved synchronously, and the changes in their levels were related to the occurrence and development of first-episode schizophrenia. The combined detection of the three had higher diagnostic value for first-episode schizophrenia.
