Investigation on Job Satisfaction of Medical Staff in County-Level Hospitals in Henan Province
Objective To understand the status quo and influencing factors of job satisfaction of medical staff in county-level hospitals in Henan Province.Methods A questionnaire survey was conducted among medical staff in 6 county-level hospitals by multistage stratified random sampling.Single factor analysis,Pearson correlation analysis and logistic regression analysis were used for data statistical analysis.Results A total of 1 770 medical staff were surveyed,and the average job satisfaction score was(3.54±0.57)points.The scores of each dimension from high to low as the work itself(3.96±0.68)points,interpersonal relationship(3.85±0.68)points,family support(3.51±0.80)points,the organization management(3.52±0.62)points,working conditions(3.41±0.83)points,the practice environment(3.36±0.83)points,and work return(3.19±0.85)points.Single factor analysis showed that medical staff with different ages,working years,employment methods,marital status,title,annual income,weekly exercise times,and health status had different job satisfaction,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that title,annual income,and health status affected the job satisfaction of medical staff(P<0.05).There was a positive correlation between job satisfaction and career identity(r=0.724,P<0.05)and a negative correlation between job satisfaction and turnover intention(r=-0.364,P<0.05).Conclusion The medical staff's job satisfaction was at the medium level.It is necessary to create favorable conditions to reduce the unhealthy social atmosphere,improve the practice setting,pay attention to the work return,and increase the sense of career identity.
