Application of Modified Yishen Chubi Decoction in Postoperative Patients with Osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fracture
Objective To investigate the application effect of modified Yishen Chubi Decoction in patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture(OVCF)after surgery.Methods A prospective study was conducted on 90 OVCF patients admitted to Zhengzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Orthopedic Hospital from May 2021 to January 2023.They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,with 45 patients in each group.All patients underwent percutaneous vertebroplasty after admission,with the control group received calcitriol and calcium carbonate D3 chewable tablets for osteoporosis after surgery,the observation group was treated with modified Yishen Chubi Decoction on the basis of the control group.Both groups were treated continuously for 3 months.The fracture recovery[anterior vertebral height,Cobb angle,Oswestry dysfunction index(ODI)],bone metabolism[osteocalcin(OCN),cross linked telopeptides of type Ⅰ collagen(CTX Ⅰ),bone specific alkaline phosphatase(BALP)]and bone mineral density(BMD)levels were compared before treatment and 3 months after treatment.Results After treatment,the height of the anterior edge of the injured vertebrae in both groups increased,and the observation group was higher than the control group,the Cobb angle and ODI of the two groups decreased,and the observation group was lower than the control group(P＜0.05).After treatment,OCN,BALP and BMD increased in both groups,and the observation group was higher than the control group,in CTX Ⅰ decreased in both groups,and the observation group was lower than the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Modified Yishen Chubi Decoction can promote postoperative fracture recovery in OVCF patients,improve bone metabolism,and increase bone density.
