Impact of Health Management in Patients with Ulcerative Colitis Under the Behavior Change Stage Model
Objective To explore the application effect of health management in ulcerative colitis(UC)under the behavior change stage model. Methods A total of 116 UC patients from January to December 2023 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University were selected and divided into transformation group(58 cases)and control group(58 cases)according to nursing methods. The control group received routine nursing measures, while the transformation group received health management under the behavior transformation stage model on this basis. The complication rate, health behavior,self-efficacy[inflammatory bowel disease self-efficacy scale(IBD-SES)],and quality of life[inflammatory bowel disease quality of life scale(IBDQ)]were compared between the two groups before and after intervention for 2 months. Results The incidence of complications in the transformation group(1.72%)was lower than that in the control group(13.79%)(P<0.05),and the completion rate of health behaviors such as medication adherence, healthy diet, and appropriate exercise was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),the IBD-SES score was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),and the IBDQ score was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing health management under the behavior change stage model for UC patients can reduce the incidence of complications, improve health behaviors, and enhance self-efficacy and quality of life.
