Correlation Between Body Composition Analysis Index and Carotid Elasticity Hemodynamics Index Measured by a Cerebrovascular Monitor
Objective To explore the correlation between the indexes of body composition analysis and carotid elasticity measured by cerebrovascular hemodynamics monitor and its application value in predicting the risk of cardiovascular disease.Methods A total of 900 medical examinees from February 2023 to June 2024 in the Affiliated Guangdong Second Provincial General Hospital of Jinan University were selected and divided into groups by gender.Body composition indicators such as body mass index(BMI),body fat percentage,waist-to-hip ratio(WHR),health score and composite score were collected,the related parameter of carotid elasticity pulse wave velocity(PWV)was measured by cerebrovascular hemodynamics monitor.The correlation between PWV and the related index of body composition analysis was analyzed,the statistical method of linear regression was used to analyze the predictive factors of PWV.Results Systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic bloodpressure(DBP),triglycerides(TG),uric acid(UA),BMI,WHR and PWV in male subjects were higher than those in female subjects(P<0.05),while high-density lipoprotein cholesterl(HDL-C)and body fat percentage in male subjects were lower than those in female subjects(P<0.05).There was no statistical difference in age,fasting blood glucose(FBG),total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C),health score and comprehensive score between male and female(P>0.05).The body fat percentage,BMI and WHR were positively correlated with SBP,DBP and TG(P<0.05),and negatively correlated with HDL-C(P<0.05).The body fat percentage of body composition of female was the predictive factor of PWV(β=0.264,P<0.05).There was no statistical correlation between PWV and BMI,WHR and Body fat percentage(P>0.05).Conclusion The body fat percentage of the related indexes of body composition analysis is the predictive index of PWV in female physical examinees,and has the function of predicting the risk of cardiovascular disease,it can be used as a simple index to evaluate obesity and predict the risk of cardiovascular disease in healthy people.
