Influencing Factors on Length of Stay in Patients Undergoing Partial Hepatectomy in Hepatobiliary Pancreas Surgery
Objective To analyze the influencing factors on length of stay in patients undergoing partial hepatectomy in hepatobiliary pancreas surgery. Methods Retrospective analysis was conducted to collect data on 1 067 patients who underwent partial hepatectomy in the hepatobiliary pancreatic surgery of Henan Provincial People's Hospital from January to December 2022.The data included patient gender, age, marital status, admission route, surgical method, number of surgeries, number of underlying diseases, presence or absence of cirrhosis, preoperative length of hospital stay, postoperative infection, payment method, and whether they were transferred to the ICU after surgery.SPSS 26.0 software was used to analyze factors affecting patient's length of stay. Results Single factor analysis showed that age, admission route, number of underlying diseases, presence of cirrhosis, preoperative length of hospital stay, surgical approach, postoperative infection, and ICU transfer were all related to the length of hospital stay for patients. The results of multiple logistic regression analysis showed that preoperative hospitalization time, postoperative co infection, and ICU transfer were independent risk factors for prolonging hospitalization time in patients after partial hepatectomy. Conclusion By analyzing the factors that affect the hospitalization time of patients undergoing partial hepatectomy,we strengthen management in terms of hospital medical services, such as shortening preoperative hospitalization time, improving postoperative management to prevent postoperative infections, optimizing patient diagnosis and treatment processes, and promoting the concept of accelerated rehabilitation surgery,in order to shorten patient hospitalization time.
