Effect of Bailing Capsules Combined with Western Medicine in the Treatment of Stable COPD(Lung and Kidney Qi Deficiency Syndrome)
Objective To explore the application of Bailing capsules combined with Western medicine in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)in stable phase(lung and kidney Qi deficiency syndrome). Methods A total of 84 stable COPD patients admitted to Nanyang Central Hospital from September 2020 to October 2021 were selected and randomly divided into group A and group B using a random number table method, with 42 patients in each group.Group A received conventional Western medicine treatment, group B received oral treatment with Bailing capsules on the basis of group A.Results After 8 weeks of treatment, compared to before treatment, the forced vital capacity(FVC),forced expiratory volume in one second(FEV1),FEV1/FVC,FEV1%of expected value(FEV1%),peripheral blood oxyhemoglobin saturation(SaO2),blood partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)levels in both groups increased, and group B were higher than group A(P<0.05).Traditional Chinese medicine symptoms, dyspnea, quality of life scores and partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2)levels of two groups decreased, and compared with the group A,the group B were lower. The six-minute walking distance(6MWD)of two groups increased, and group B was higher than group A(P<0.05).After 8 weeks of follow-up,compared with the group A,the group B had a lower rate of acute exacerbation readmission(P<0.05).Conclusion Bailing capsule combined with Western medicine can improve the lung function of COPD patients in stable period(lung and kidney Qi deficiency syndrome),promote the adjustment of blood gas indexes, relieve the clinical symptoms of patients, improve their quality of life and walking ability, control the readmission rate of patients with acute exacerbation, and have good safety.
