Effects of Xiaonang Tiaojing Decoction Combined with Ethinylestradiol Cyproterone in Patients with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
Objective To explore the effect of Xiaonang Tiaojing Decoction combined with ethinylestradiol cyproterone in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS).Methods A total of 118 patients with PCOS admitted to Zhengzhou Second People's Hospital from October 2019 to May 2021 were randomly divided into two groups.The Western medicine group(59 patients)were treated with oral ethinylestradiol cycloproterenol tablets,while the combined group(59 patients)were treated with Xiaonang Tiaojing Decoction on the basis of the Western medicine group.Both groups were treated for three consecutive menstrual cycles and traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores,clinical efficacy,ovarian morphology,and hemodynamics after treatment were compared.Results The traditional Chinese medicine symptom scores in the combined group was lower than that in the Western medicine group(P<0.05).The total clinical effective rate of the combined group(91.53%)was higher than that of the Western medicine group(76.27%)(P<0.05).The ovarian volume,capsule thickness,and number of follicles in the combined group were smaller than those in the Western medicine group,while the maximum diameter of follicles was larger than those in the Western medicine group(P<0.05).The maximum systolic velocity and end diastolic velocity of the ovarian artery in the combined group were higher than those in the Western medicine group,while the pulsatile index and resistance index of the blood flow were lower than those in the Western medicine group(P<0.05).The adverse reaction rate of the combined group was lower than that of the Western medicine group(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of Xiaonang Tiaojing Decoction and ethinylestradiol cycloproterenol has a significant therapeutic effect on PCOS,and has a significant improvement effect on ovarian morphology and hemodynamic indicators in PCOS patients.
