Effect of functional electrical stimulation combined with exercise training on nerve function rehabilitation and neuron-specific enolase in senile patients after stroke
Objective To analyze the effects of functional electrical stimulation combined with exercise training on neu-rological rehabilitation and neuron-specific enolase(NSE)in senile stroke patients. Methods Ninety-eight senile stroke patients admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to June 2022 were included as research objects, and were di-vided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 49 cases in each group. The con-trol group was treated with exercise training, and the observation group was treated with functional electrical stimulation on the basis of the control group.Neurological function, serum markers[NSE,myelin basic protein(MBP),cerebral creatine kinase isoenzyme(CK-BB)],motor function and daily activity ability of the two groups were compared before and after treatment. Results After treatment,8 subscale scores,NSE,MBP and CK-BB indexes of EDSS in observa-tion group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The scores of MAS and the two subscales and total scores of FIM were higher in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Functional electrical stimulation combined with exercise training in the treatment of senility stroke can promote the rehabilitation process of functional function, improve the levels of NSE,MBP,CK-BB and other serum markers related to nerve damage, and then effectively promote the recovery of motor function and daily activity.
