Diagnostic value of anti-phosphatidylserine-prothrombin complex antibodies in patients with antiphospholipid syndrome
Objective This study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic value of anti-phosphatidylserine-prothrombin com-plex antibody(aPS/PT)in patients with seronegative antiphospholipid syndrome(SN-APS).Methods Consecutive en-rollment was conducted for patients who visited Henan Provincial People's Hospital from April 2023 to September 2023.The study subjects were divided into a healthy control group,an antiphospholipid syndrome(APS)group, and an SN-APS group. The magnetic particle chemiluminescence method was used to detect standard anti-phospholipid antibodies and aPS/PT.Percentile values were calculated for each anti-phospholipid antibody, and the diagnostic value of aPS/PT was evaluated. Results The P99 values for aCL and aβ2GP I-IgA/IgM/IgG were 5.52,19.81,20.22 IU/mL and 21.16,25.38,19.30 IU/mL respectively;P 97.5 values were 4.77,18.89,16.35 IU/mL and 20.20,16.90,18.18 IU/mL respectively;P95 values were 3.22,14.99,8.61 IU/mL and 7.49,5.04,6.95 IU/mL respectively. The P99 values for aPS/PT-IgM/IgG were 19.72 and 20.96 IU/mL and the P97.5 values were 18.84 and 20.7 IU/mL,respec-tively.The P95 values for aPS/PT-IgM/IgG were 18.36 and 17.24 IU/mL,respectively.The level of aPS/PT-IgM was higher in the SN-APS group than in the healthy control group. When using a cutoff value of 17.26 IU/mL,the diagnos-tic sensitivity was 29.73%and the specificity was 93.33%.Conclusion This study established reference intervals for la-boratory standard anti-phospholipid antibodies and aPS/PT while also finding that aPS/PT-IgM has certain diagnostic value in SN-APS patients.
