Study on factors related to neuropsychological development of assisted reproductive technology
Objective To explore the influence factors assisted of reproductive technology on the neuropsychological devel-opment of offspring. Methods A total of 241 infants who underwent assisted reproductive technology and natural concep-tion for health examination in the Child Health Care Department of the third Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from December 2019 to June 2022 were selected.196 children born through assisted reproductive technology as the study group, and 45 natural pregnancy children as the comparison group, and their neuropsychological development level was as-sessed by GESELL.Results There were no significant differences between the assisted reproduction group and the natural pregnancy group in delivery mode, birth sex,and preterm birth rate(P>0.05).The development quotient in adaptability, big movement, fine movement, language and individual-society have no significant differences between two groups(P>0.05).Additionally,it resulted in no significant difference in the development quotient of the offspring for fresh em-bryo transfer and frozen embryo transfer in the five functional areas of adaptability, big movement, fine movement,lan-guage and individual-society;in the assisted reproduction group, the age of mother was negatively correlated with the lan-guage development of children;the birth weight was negatively correlated with adaptability, big movement, fine movement, language and individual-society.Conclusion Assisted reproductive technology with different transplantation methods had no obvious adverse effects on the neuropsychological development offspring.children of light birth weight, elder pregnant couples had poor neuropsychological development.
