05,OR>1)。 05,OR>1)。
Effect of insulin resistance and hyperandrogenism on abnormal menstrual cycle in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome
Objective To investigate the effect of insulin resistance(IR)and hyperandrogenism(HA)on abnormal men-struation in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS).Methods Case control study was used.PCOS women who visited to Zhengzhou Yihe Hospital from February 2021 to June 2022 were selected as the case group, and women who received physical examination at the same time were selected as the health control group according to the 1∶1 principle with 217 cases in each group. The women in the case group and the control group were investigated with questionnaires, laboratory tests and physical examinations.Logisitc regression was used to investigate the effect of HA on amenorrhea and menorrhea rarefaction in PCOS women. Results The history of dysmenorrhea, gynecological diseases,IR and alco-hol consumption were the risk factors for menorrhagia in PCOS patients(P<0.05,OR>1).The risk factors of amenor-rhea in PCOS patients were the main city of residence,no job, history of gynecological diseases, history of contraceptive use, history of depression, and IR(P<0.05,OR>1).Conclusion IR plays a role in determining the degree of men-strual dysfunction in women with PCOS.
