Effect of ventricular premature beats on heart failure in elderly population
Objective To investigate the impact of the characteristics of PVC under dynamic electrocardiogram on HF in the elderly population. Methods Totally 817 elderly individuals who underwent health examinations in the Seventh Peo-ple's Hospital of Zhengzhou from February 2017 to July 2017 were selected as the study subjects.Conduct a 5-year fol-low-up,adjust and compare various data, and analyze the influencing factors of LVEF reduction and HF occurrence. Results ①According to the 5-year follow-up results of 817 physical examinees,60 cases showed a decrease in LVEF,with a decrease rate of 7.34%;39 physical examinees developed HF,and the incidence rate of HF was 4.77%.The incidence of LVEF decrease and HF were significantly higher in the PVC group, and the difference were statistically significant(P<0.05).② The regression results showed that the characteristics of PVC,such as CI inequal-ity,age,and LVESD,were risk factors for LVEF decline in the elderly population(P<0.05,OR>1),while the char-acteristics of PVC,such as frequency, duration, and origin location, did not affect LVEF decline in the elderly popula-tion(P>0.10).③The regression results showed that the characteristics of PVC,such as CI inequality,age,BMI,hy-pertension,hyperlipidemia,history of myocardial infarction, smoking, and blood NT-proBNP,were all risk factors for HF occurrence in the elderly population(P<0.05,OR>1),while the characteristics of PVC,such as frequency,du-ration,origin location, and HF occurrence in the elderly population were not closely related(P>0.05).Conclusion PVC frequency,PVC duration, and PVC origin location have no effect on the decrease of LVEF and the occurrence of HF events in the elderly population;the unequal coupling interval of PVC is associated with a decrease in LVEF and the occurrence of HF events in the population.Unequal coupling intervals are an independent risk factor.
