Expression levels of CD44,CD34 and Livin in osteosarcoma tissues and their clinical significance
Objective To investigate the expression levels of CD44,CD34 and Livin in osteosarcoma tissues and their clini-cal significance. Methods Clinical data and follow-up data of 90 patients with osteosarcoma treated in Central Hospital of Jiaozuo Coal Industry Group Co.LTD from February 2014 to July 2015 were collected for retrospective analysis.Expression of CD44,CD34 and Livin in osteosarcoma and non-neoplastic bone tissue were detected. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to analyze patient survival and multi-factor Cox regression to analyze factors influencing poor prognosis. Results Compared with non-neoplastic bone tissue, the positive rates of CD44,CD34 and Livin in osteosarcoma tissues were significantly up-regulated(P<0.05).Expression of CD44,CD34 and Livin in osteosarcoma was correlated with Ennecking stage and distant metastasis(P<0.05).The 5-year overall survival rate of CD44,CD34 and Livin negative patients was significantly higher than that of positive patients(P<0.05).Ennecking stage Ⅲ,distant metastasis,CD44 positivity,CD34 positivity and Livin positivity were independent risk factors for poor prognosis in patients with osteosarcoma(P<0.05).Conclusion The posi-tive rates of CD44,CD34 and Livin expression in osteosarcoma tissues were significantly higher than that in non-neoplastic bone tissues, and were associated with Ennecking stage, distant metastasis and prognosis of osteosarcoma.
